Food is very very good and so is the service. Came out pretty fast. The baby back ribs were definitely my favorite. We will be back soon!!
Staff was superb, food was close to the best in El Cajon, I did like the atmosphere however it was cooler outside than it was inside ... I am not a big outside eater. What an awesome experience and I can't wait to try their Happy Hour deals next time. They have a GREAT chopped salad and you can add tri-tip!
Buckboard's was delicious. It was a bit of a drive for us - but the food was worth it! Their meat was cooked perfectly, and I love their different BBQ sauces. I'm a sauce girl, and having a few different options of regular, sweet & tangy, & spicy was so good. Their Mac and cheese is beyond creamy and delicious! My kids said it was the best they've ever had! It was a lot of food, and it all reheated beautifully as leftovers! It's an order and then sit-down place. They were very kid and accommodating with customizations. Very sweet and friendly staff! We will absolutely make the drive again for their food!
As a South Carolinian, I was very pleased with this BBQ restaurant! The service was AMAZING! All the women that we met were so kind & helpful. And the food was delicious! Loved the pulled chicken sandwich with Mac n cheese, potato salad & baked beans! Will ABSOLUTELY make the 25 minute drive to eat here again!
I read an article and this bbq ranked No.19 in the whole US, though I never heard of it before. I tried it yesterday with my husband and friends. We had a big rack of big ribs, with side sampler, Mexican corn, onion rings, fries and kid size pulled pork sandwich, plus corn bread and peach cobbler for dessert. The price here is very reasonable and the quantity is very good. The foods are very delicious, and especially the beef ribs, probably the best in SD I’ve ever had so far. All the sides are very very good, I love potato salad, coleslaw, fries, beans, corn.... The corn bread is also highly recommended. The only thing I don’t really into is the peach cobbler, too doughy for me. Anyways, it’s a nice place to have a great bbq!

Overall this is was a great meal! Everything was seasoned well, and packed with flavor. My friend said that the BBQ chicken that was included in the Best of Buck Platter was the best she has ever had. If you want a bit of everything, this platter is the way to go. I have to order Mac and Cheese anytime I see it on a menu at restaraunt, this one was a solid version. The house sauce that came with the wings was spicy anfd tangy. The interior of the restaurant is clean, organized and has that BBQ vibe. The customer service was also top notch! The ladies at the counter were friendly and helped us to decide what to order. I can't wait to come back for some more great food. Eat up!!!
This place is a legitimately BBQ and the taste is phenomenal. You can taste the quality and love into the food for sure.
